AddEvent’s tools enable you to collect RSVPs with your own event RSVP website or easily insert an RSVP button into your ActiveCampaign marketing automation email campaigns or on your ActiveCampaign landing pages.
It’s as simple as creating an RSVP event in AddEvent, inserting a new HTML content block in your ActiveCampaign email, and then inserting your custom RSVP button’s code. And voila!
Adding an event RSVP button to your ActiveCampaign emails lets you take advantage of some great features, including:
This article will show you how to add an event RSVP link or an RSVP button to your ActiveCampaign email in just a few easy steps.
Sign up for an AddEvent account if you don’t already have one. Choose from our free Hobby plan or one of our paid plans, which come with lots of additional features. Learn more about our plans on our plans and pricing page.
Welcome to your AddEvent dashboard! Click the Create button and select Event.
Enter your event details, including the event name, time, date, location, time zone, description, etc.
On the right, be sure to enable RSVP collection for this event by toggling it on. You can use the Standard RSVP form, create a new custom RSVP form (in the RSVP Form tab, on the left), or use a previously saved form.
Once your event has been created and your RSVP form has been applied, it’s time to set things up in ActiveCampaign.
Head to the Campaigns tab to start a new email campaign, or select an email draft to work in.
If you’re working with a draft, click the name of your campaign and then select Edit design.
Under the Blocks section on the right side of your screen, you can drag and drop HTML to the space in your design where you want the RSVP button to live.
Then, head back to your Event Detail page in the AddEvent dashboard.
Once there, scroll down to sharing tools and find the RSVP button section.
You can either use one of the pre-formatted buttons or customize your RSVP button to match your company’s branding when you select the Create style button at the bottom of the box. There, you can change the button’s shape, color, size, etc.
Once you’ve saved the configuration you want to use for your RSVP button, you need to copy the HTML code via the Copy icon at the top of the box or the <> button at the bottom.
Now, it’s time to copy and paste that code into the HTML block in your ActiveCampaign email. A black box will appear at the bottom half of your screen, where you will copy and paste the entire code.
The RSVP button for the event will automatically appear in the email preview. You can use the additional settings in the control panel on the left to customize how the RSVP button looks in your ActiveCampaign email.
And that’s it — you’re good to go! The RSVP button for your event has been added to your ActiveCampaign email. Make sure you test the RSVP links before sending the campaign to your audience.
